| Mercer's Garden is introducing 18 daylilies for the year 2000. Every one offers a pleasing addition to gardens. You may click on the pictures at left to see the full pages and descriptions. For the first time, we offer the opportunity to buy daylilies online by sending an e-mail notice that you want a daylily. An e-mail button is on each daylily page that you visit. If you want that daylily, merely click the button. A preaddressed e-mail will pop up. Type your phone number and click send. I will call you within 24 hours to make arrangements for shipping and payment. For convenience, you may add your name and address. That way you'll be put on our catalog mailing list so you get the catalog when it comes from the printer. And I will eventually need your name and address for shipping. But if you're in a hurry, just the phone number will do, and we can get the details on the phone. No shipping fee will be charged on daylilies sold online, and the prices listed here are $5 less than in our regular catalog. That's because keeping track of your order is so much easier and less expensive online. Mercer daylilies are grown in 17 countries, that we know of, and all the the United States except two. They are valued for their ability to perform consistently in diverse environments. Our breeding goals center first on plant performance and good health. Next, we seek good colors, and in fact several of our 2000 introductions represent breakthroughs in color. Form and special effects are also very important. Consistent flat to slightly recurved forms are preferred, though other factors weigh more heavily for us. And all the extras of the modern daylily are extremely important, such as colored edges, bubbled, feathered, sawtoothed and filigreed edges, multiple eyes, heavy ruffling and other recent advancements. |
