The best, clearest red color we have seen in a daylily, this diploid has great scapes, late bloom and stops the show in late July and early August, when it is just finishing its month-long bloom season.
Visitors often ask why we haven't converted this diploid to tet. I've tried several times. But I just haven't been lucky so far. The name comes from the color of the Turkish flag. A large Turkish flag once guided me on a trek through the streets of Istanbul after I became disoriented in a crowd. |
